Article summary

2.1 Windows and doors shall be provided with clear glass protection film and all sills and exposed edges shall be taped with PVC tape. Ensure the type of protection and tape can be easily removed – MASKING TAPE shall not be used. Most tapes and protective films have a useful lifespan of less than 3 months. After that they become brittle with UV exposure and become difficult to remove.

2.2 All aluminium windows, doors, balustrades or any other prefinished components such as louvers and screens are to be fully plastic protected during any rendering , concrete works and painting.

2.3 No rubbish or debris is allowed on tiled, finished or final surfaced area at any time after installation.

2.4 All roofing materials with be fully protected with timber or FC sheet during any cutting, welding or grinding to roof areas etc.

2.5 Remove swarf from roof and gutters by blowing off/sweeping/vacuuming and install walkways early to reduce traffic over roofing (Refer Roofing Manual)
