3. Noggings

3.1 Before framing commences you should have a marked up drawing of every wall elevation and what nogging are required. This is coordinated across all documents and associated subcontractors. Check all noggings are installed as per the plan and retain the noggings plan as an as-built. Record during construction

3.2 Briefly, noggings are generally required for;

• Toilet cistern cocks
• Toilet cisterns
• Toilet roll holders
• Towel rails
• Robe hooks
• Shower screens
• Taps
• Bath spouts
• Mixers, Shower head
• Shower rails
• Shower rail hose connection
• Tundish (in-wall)
• Access panels
• Wall mounted TV’s
• Recessed skirting, large skirtings
• Wall mounted clothes dryers
• Hand driers
• Wall lights
• Ceiling fans
• And so on.
