3. Safety Mesh

3.1 Safety mesh must be provided under all roof sheeting including translucent or other forms of brittle sheeting as a
general rule and is mandatory without approval from the certifier.

3.2 Galvanised safety mesh is NOT suitable for use within 1000m of a marine environment where exposed to the weather
(no soffit for example).

3.3 Battens at 450mm centres are an alternative to the use of safety mesh, however cannot be used where brittle
polycarbonate sheeting is used.
