5. Jacuzzi's

5.1 Jacuzzi’s are typically less than 1200mm high (therefore accessible to kids) and are greater than 300mm deep and are therefore a pool.

5.2 Pool fencing laws apply to Jacuzzi’s.

5.3 Where installed on suspended decks/podiums – many of the important policies for suspended pools (above) apply – there must be a waterproof membrane and wearing finish (slab, tiles etc) under the Jacuzzi).

5.4 Make sure the finishes on the Jacuzzi are UV stabilised.

5.5 Make sure the fittings are appropriate for the location of the Jacuzzi – within 1000m of salt water environment should have stainless jet surrounds and so on.
