Temporary protection of finished surfaces is a critical activity that needs preplanning and vigilance to minimise the large number of defects caused by irresponsible treatment of and accidental damage to finishes.

If damage does occur accidentally fix it and don’t leave it to see if anyone notices. If any marks or damage is visibly evident from normal use of the area/room or the like then fix it before handover.
