QMP
With reference to the QMS, the Project Team develops a project specific Quality Management Plan (QMP).

The QMP sets out the steps to identifying the specific elements of the project that need to be considered carefully including a plan for controlling the quality. The QMP provided in the system is a generic template, ready for the Project Team to develop it into a detailed project specific plan.
To prepare this plan the project team must have a reasonable knowledge of the project prior to commencing (as established at the Project Start-up and Planning Meeting and subsequent Project Team reviews)

With all documents assembled and reviewed, interrogate the project in respect to all aspects for consideration (refer QMP section 4.6) comprehensively to gain a thorough understanding of the project and controls required to achieve the intended outcomes as they document the plan.

The project’s QMP should demonstrate that the Project Team have ownership of the project.

It should provide clear evidence they have considered the project in context to the various risks and opportunities unique to each individual project being completed:
• at that time,
• with that client,
• to meet the current authority and regulatory requirements,
• in that environment,
• with the available resources,
• with potential latent conditions,
• utilising a methodology that considers the relevant factors that temporary engineering solutions.

To name a handful of the many things that may influence the project quality management.

As a part of this process, the Project Team identifies the people, companies, authorities and regulators that are connected to the project. These interested parties (stakeholders) all have influence over the success of the project.

By acknowledging and planning for everyone that may influence the project we can determine how we will engage and communicate with them.

We can design and implement appropriate controls to ensure the intended outcome isn’t adversely affected while preserving our good reputation as well.
