Summary

In summary for current NCC compliance –

• know what fire resistance standard you need to comply with (TYPE A/B/C), - determine if the requirement is for non-combustible for DTS
• select tested products to meet this – as a DTS solution using AS 1530.1, or as a performance solution using AS 1530.3 tests + fire engineering/certification and authority approvals as required.
• Ensure exits and fire service installations are considered properly
• construct the works to the approved manufacturer details (as tested)
• inspect the works to ensure the correct material is used (including identification of material)

• Take photos of work in progress as evidence of compliance (sub-framing, cladding with identification etc)
