5. Summary

In summary, for current NCC compliance:

• Use the cladding selection guidelines in the HB Doc Library (as attached to document below).
• Know what fire resistance standard you need to comply with (TYPE A/B/C) - determine if the requirement is for non-combustible for DTS.
• Select tested products to meet this – as a DTS solution using AS 1530.1, or as a performance solution using AS 1530.3 tests + fire engineering/certification and authority approvals as required.
• No ‘PE’ Core material to be used.
• Ensure exits and fire service installations are considered properly.
• Construct the works to the approved manufacturer details (as tested).
• Inspect the works to ensure the correct material is used (including identification of material).

• Take photos of work in progress as evidence of compliance (sub-framing, cladding with identification etc).
